tire chains/ cables advice

im looking into a set of chains/cables for my car.

im sure some of you guys have run chains as well as different styles of cables. i cant spend more than 50 bucks. other criteria includes being able to put them on once im already stuck, low maintenance once im using them, and headache free installation.

im in a front wheel drive car with new 13" tires up front that didnt cut it in 6-8" of snow on nat'l forest fire roads.

ive looked at the sur grip z style cable units and some other chains at tirechains.com.

Your supposed to take the Jeep out on the fire roads in that much snow. :sure: Seriously though I don't care much for cables though they are easy to put on and relatively maintence free. I always liked real chains better. Do a search on e-bay they have hundreds of chains for small tires like yours and they are cheap.
