I need to identify cause chrylser is being slow about honering my warrenty. I want to diagnose and just tell them whats up and have them fix it.

Truck runs flawless, just wont lock up the torque converter.

Thanks, Gene MJ

If its still under warrenty, doesnt that mean they have to diagnose and repair any problems/parts that are covered under the warrenty?

Yes,

Their tech has to diag the issue!~ meaning he has to find the parts, bench mount and inspect etc...put that crap back in there and give it to them.

By you tearing into it, you could be footing the bill now anyways.

This is what I do for a living,if I had a cust call me and say they did their own diag, and just want me to repair what they found, I would not even check the veh in to my dept.

Good Luck

i've worked at a Chrylser dealership before and MOST of them will do a diagnosis anyway. They have to according to Chrysler.

That aside im guessint that you need an new governor solenoid and a solenoid pack. I was in the parts dept and got to watch all the W/O come in and then gave out the parts to the tech's. therefor i saw ALL the repairs and their solutions and not the one's i was handed. IIRC theose to parts are the most common parts to cause the issue your having.

Although 01 47RE up to about 05 when the 48RE's came out where also notorious for killing the torgue convertors. sometimes cause by coolant leaking into them from the liquid-to-liquid torque converter cooler leaking. it is mounted on the pass side of the engine and is about in the middle of the block, cylinder in shape about 4" dia and about 15" long.

Although it would still help to have the pics working.
