Well It's been about 11 months now since I threw a rod in my 2.8, and summer is almost here. When the engine blew I had a hell of time deciding on what to go with, and in the end I chose a built 3.4 ltr. As my rig sat motionless I started removing sheetmetal, lots of it. I built bumpers, rock rails, cross members, axles, gutted the interior, gussetted everything, extended brake lines, cleaned and painted every part I could find. Well yesterday I drove it for the first time (open headers) on my property and I had forgotten how much fun it is! I figure I have about two months till I'm done with the little stuff. I just wanted to thank Eagle, Beezil, Xjguy, josh, borton, bloose, for all their input and everyone else on NAXJA who has chopped and tweaked there XJ's! If I never found this place I would have been at the mercy of the local offroad shop! Thanks everyone..... Rob "daytripper"

Congrats.... I used to own a 2.8L XJ with more engine trouble then anything else I have ever seen...... Too bad when I owned it there was no NAXJA yet :( :( Maybe I'd sitll have that one
