Funds are tight after the holidays and paying bills. Won't be able to make this unfortunately.

Not going to make this trip. Is there anywhere to make a donation?

Yea right after Christmas is a bad time of year for most people. I'd be tempted to make a donation if I had the funds but I'm currently broke.

Hey XJfreakHO I Just joined and the reason i did is some of yall helped Me and my crew out in Uwharrie last year and told me about NAXJA so any way We all live in the triad and are lookin for more places to wheel hit me up i know we would be game

You wouldn't happen to be the stalled XJ in the mud hole group?

Going to be an interesting day.

Just got off work, going to take a nap, My bro got off this morning too, he and a buddy are pulling an engine out of a ZJ to throw into his XJ, so he can make this trip too.

Makes my list of shit to do seem pretty minor.

Going to a buddies shop tonight to throw the manche on a lift and go over it, slap bumpers and winch on it, swap battery, swap front yoke on the 44 and replace some joints. Some other stuff to do... but relatively minor.

However, as you all said, funds are... wildly tight and Ill admit, I am not 100% I will make this trip.

Amazing turn out, honestly a little too crowded.

Had an issue early on, while myself and another guy were both backing down trails, we collided, the collision cost him a 40 trep, purely an accident, both backing up, niether able to see the other until it was too late, but lets just say I bought him a new tire.

Left at 8:30 and the manche was still in one piece, functioning well, but I left the keys for my brother and a buddy to wheel tomorrow, so itll be questionable if its movable when it gets home lol.

All in all a great trip, cant wait to do it again in April.

My roommate was there with a friend of his who brought a Sammy...the pic I got on my phone looked like it was packed. Wish the funds were in place for me to make it out this time.

Was it a white Sammy, exo cage? Cant remember his name... Very cool guy from Charlotte, he actually flopped in front of us and we ran and flipped him back, pulled cable a few times, then he helped spot me up the same trail and eventually hooked my winch up hahaha.

Trails out there are just absolutely nasty, all uphill.

We had a few "uwharrie regulars" with us, who hadnt been anywhere else, and they were just blown away.

Quote of the day "Ive never seen so many rigs flipped over in the same day"

This is the same trail the sami flopped on, the rocks are the size of a samurai, I kidd you not. Very intense, I had the trail covered until the end, My front end kept sliding hard passenger and dropping me into a 4 foot drop, eventually hooked the winch up to keep it tight and guide the front end so it wouldnt slide off.

There's not much of a sammy left to it, body wise. I think it's god a hood that's white, and the rest is cage.

I don't know him all that well but by roommate does, and rumor has it he likes to beat the crap out of the sammy.

Is the guy from greensboro? Danny Kelly has a sami about like that, broke a rear driveshaft and axleshaft yesterday...

I heard there was another guy out there in a similar sami, but I heard he may have taken a very serious rollover and had alot of rear issues, we were on trail 6 and came back to Ashley telling me about watching a sami try a hillclimb from far away, then just seeing smoke billowing over.

Its very possible... There were alot of samurais there.

After this trip, and talking with buddies. I am debating selling my 44/9 and other parts I had for my Cherokee, and just keeping it small, and throwing 1 tons under the comanche and making it my dedicated trail rig.

So if you see some parts coming up soon, dont hate me too bad.

Waggy 44 setup for XJ chromo shafts and 760s with 2 trail rides on them, isuzu 12 bolt, both should bolt in minus driveshaft and pinion angle may need adjusted, 4.30 gears...

What are they worth? Bracketry isnt pretty, and if someone wanted to buy them, would probably want to redo them. But they do function perfectly.

Debating throwing them under my Xj, running 35s... Would be about perfect... Just alot of thinking.
