Sweet Caroline Blood and Bone Marrow Drive

I wanted to throw this out there for you guys. The Delta Zeta Sorority @ USC will be hosting there annual blood and bone marrow drive on February 16th from 12-6 at the Russel House Ballroom. This drive is one of their projects they do every year. It is done in honor of my Step Daughter that passed away from Leukemia. I as well as several others have been bone marrow donors as a direct result of this drive. If you are not on the bone marrow registry you really should sigh up. It is easy to do and not a lot of trouble if you ever get called up. I will be there to give the girls some support and to give blood. Hope all is well with the family, I wont be able to donate this year due to the blood thinners I'm on, but I feel sure that it will be a great event. I may swing by for some moral support though.

I'm on the Bone Marrow registery! It's a great cause! My g/f is an Oncology nurse and we both registered when we lived in Phoenix. Still waiting on that call, and would be there in a heartbeat! Sorry to hear about your step-daughter, Leukemia is a horrible disease. If I wasn't so far away I would definitely donate and show up for some support as well. I hope the turn-out is great!

They added 278 names to the NMDP list and collected a lot of blood. I think it was around 90 pints.
