Swamp Lake trip...food

We have a change in plans regarding the food for our Swamp Lake trip. Our favorite 4wheeling cook, Mil, was planning to cook for us all on Friday evening and Sunday morning. Unfortunately, due to a conflicting family commitment, Mil isn't going to be able to make the trip. So, as nice as it would have been, we're back to having to cook for ourselves. So, save your $20 and go to the grocery store. :)

For those of you who have already sent your money, I will be sending it back to you.

We will still have our traditional Saturday evening potluck dinner. When you know what you will bring, it would help to post it up, so others can get some help deciding. From past experience, this group isn't picky.....we'll eat anything. :)

Too bad Mil can't make it.
Question is, with all the snow will Swamp even be open in 2 and a half weeks?

I'm waiting to talk to the OHV ranger who supposedly makes the call. I talked to one ranger, and there is a large tree down at the north end of the trail that will have to be removed before the trail can be opened at the north end. The local 4x4 club that opens the trail is waiting for the snow to clear before going in to clear the tree. Maybe they'll let us clear the tree....we'll see. I should be able to talk to him Wed.....and will let everyone know. The south end of the trail is OK, it's just the north end with that big tree that is the potential problem.

I have a chainsaw. We could use the fire wood.

I also have a Chain Saw. It only has a 14" Blade but it's a work horse.

Are we going to have designated folks bring BBQ's and Stoves that everyone can use? I have a small BBQ and Coleman Stove I can bring.

we also need to confirm if they cleared the 50 inch cedar that fell across Rock Creek rd. i drove up there last week and we were not able to budge the thing.

I wonder if that's the tree she was talking about?

No contact today.....will try again in the morning.
