I uploaded mine on XJDB, search for Swamp Lake.

The Family and I had a great time. It was good to catch up with a lot guys from the year before. Also met a couple of friends of Richards (Goatman), Bill, Lori and another Chuck. This was Bills first time out with his newly aquired XJ, RE 4.5" lift and 33" MTR's. He navigated the trail better than I did and he had no rocker protect and open diffs. Bill has the blue XJ in the pictures of the boulder hill climb.

I felt my XJ did rather well, my new mods held up and worked like they were expected to. I can't say enough about my rack, it is super strong, tight to the roof line and the rub rails rubbed those trees. My new rear tail lights took a beating also, if I had the OEM plastic, I would have been picking up the pieces for days.

Thanks again for all the fun! See you guys again on the trail soon.

Damn Chuck, that was fast!!!

Andy & I didn't make it back to Ridgecrest until 11:00 pm. I had a GREAT time and glad I made it this year. It's always nice to meet up with old friends and make new ones.

Nice pics you guys. You sure know how to rub it in. :laugh3: I went up & down the Hell Hole trail by the Rubicon this weekend with the Boonie Bouncers Club and my Jeep showed them how it's done. Many people in the group are now talking about getting an xj. I was worried about a squealing sound I've been getting, I think it's from my drums brakes on my dana 44. Maybe my driveshaft. I don't have any shims on it with about 7" lift, but I don't have any vibration at all up to 80 mphs or so as I was coming back down 50 & sailing down the hill of El Dorado Hills. Man I wish I could have joined you guys. I'm definately gunning for the Fordyce trail weekend in August. I cannot make the Rubicon or the Barrett Lake trail though. See you guys soon, nice XJ/scenery pics.

Did you guys swim and/or fish in Swamp Lake? I hear the Trout fishing is great there. I was surprised at how big the Hell Hole Resv is on my wheeling thip this weekend. But what's up with the name Hell Hole? It is too nice of a place to be called that.

Great pictures guys! I didn't see any pictures of a certain yellow jeep though. Did it learn it couldn't stay on the trailer the whole trip and wimp out? :)

That sure looks like a great run you guys had this past weekend. But it's missing a red and a yellow XJ. Richard you looked happy driving that old CJ. Great pictures guys and thanks for sharing. I'll be up there in those same woods in Sept.

Richard,

It's also great to see MJDAN is at it again, remember I asked you about him last time I was in Bakersfield, well do yah. I realy like his truck is awsome.

It pissed me off so I left it at home. I've grown to like trailering so much that I towed a CJ up there.

:D

The yellow Jeep has issues..........

Still upset I couldn't make it. Had to stay home and take care of a sick daughter. Hopefully I can get out to Rubicon. Nice pics by the way.
