Suede Headliner Complete (Pics)

Looks absolutely amazing Janusz, glad you gave the OHC a good home...actually a great home! Thanks for the ideas for the future!

removed in any useable sized pieces to recover an MJ headliner?

You can go to any (assumption here) cloth/sowing/material type store and pick out some material/fabric to use. I doubt the leftover (from the OP) would've been any good, as it was likely destroyed upon removal. It's really cheap to get material f/a material store... plus you can pick out something that would be more suitable or custom to your own style.

X2 on the visors, it wasnt hard for me to do my lead liner but I have no clue how to get the visors done...

I learned how to reupholster the sun visors from this thread

The mirrors are different, but the tabs are the same; it's important to take your time snapping them open. The material came off in one piece, so it made for a good template on the suede. The oem fabric wasn't glued on, but I used some adhesive spray to install my fabric; it made the install considerably easier.

I forgot to thank you for the OHC in my first post. It's hard to believe it was tan originally. I even managed to fix the broken tab, and score a bracket, on-the-cheap, from team cherokee.

Looks like a good install. The difference in shade caused by rubbing it a different direction would drive me crazy.
I was born crazy, so it doesn't bother me lol.

My buddy's 2003 Audi RS6 has a headliner similar to this, including the window posts. I'd thought it was unique and had forgotten about it; I'm following suite.

I totally agree with the charcoal comment earlier. I had an s-19 as my first car, and did the door panels and headliner in black suede. I couldn't STAND how dark it made the interior. That coupled with dark tint, and it was impossible to see inside especially towards dusk.

Headliner looks fantastic. If mine ever sags, rips, or wears, I'll definitely be doing this.

Now.... next up: let's see a suede-wrapped dash with some off-tone seams. Ferrari status.

Looks awesome, my headliner is sagging and I want to redo it, my question is the part the fabric attaches to seems to be deteriorating and crumbles when your push on it. do I need a new headliner, what do you think about rhino lining the roof.

glad I found this thread again, I've done a few friends jeeps headliners, sometimes a bit too much material comes off when pulling, any suggestions on loosing up the old glue. Glad i can finally do my sun visors.
