I believe you have to have the proper fitting on your casing, otherwise it is just a standard piece of pipe that threads into it(homemade with a tee and some pipe). Use a flashlight to look down your casing at the fitting that goes through the side of the casing. You should be able to see what you need. I haven't done it in years so I can't remember sizes.
