Stupid question... Decent bike racks?

Hey guys,

On my last trip to Uwharrie, a guy who ended up wheeling with us had his bike rack crap out on him halfway up one of the trails (it was a fold-down receiver-mounted rack - the lock pin that held it upright ended up mauling the rack and letting go), so that got me thinking... Who makes a stout rack that can put up with some abuse?

My first thought is the Mopar rack, but I've never seen one first-hand so I can't really reach a verdict.

Ultimately I need a 2-bike rack (yeah, sorry, I'm lonely). Anyone have any thoughts on these, or other recommendations?

Ended up going with the Allen 522RR since it was available locally, new, for ~$80:

Very simple design, with all bolt/pin unions being double-shear (no spring-loaded pins and notches). The base is only 1.25" tube, however, the rest of the unit is stout enough to be modified should it ever break (I love the explicit "Never use off-road" statement on its warning label)... Just need to pick up a 12" receiver extension tomorrow to clear my rear spare.
