Stuck in the NJ Pine Barrens

wow hope he gets out OK ... but this is why you should never go wheeling alone.

No, called road side assistance and they sent a flat bed. It's at the dealership now. I wasn't actually stuck, just stranded: I was exploring some trails in 4H, came upon a stream I wanted to cross, so I stopped at the edge and shifted to 4L .. something gave out, because it is stuck in neutral and there is no resistance on the shifter. Between the road side assistance and pending repair, I'm glad I have the MaxCare contract

Well he got out. I would be willing to bed the linkage popped apart underneath and that's why it was "stuck" in N and no resistance on shifting.

Shame I didn't see this earlier. I was in the area for the cleanup and was around still. I also agree...not good to go wheeling alone. If I do go alone, I make sure I have a CB and I'm only on heavily-traveled hard-pack during daylight hours.
