My accelerator seems to be a little tight. I drove another XJ the other day and it was alot smoother. What could be the cause of this and what can I do to smooth it up?:compwork:
i've been leaning toward something on the engine end of it, and not the spring b/c it pops back fine. it's just tighter and not smooth when pressing it in. when i have time i'll have to inspect it with a fine-tooth comb.
Anybody ever think of lubricating --all -- the moving parts -- Geez ?
dont use WD it is actually a drier after all, think about it,it will dispell water etc.
Water displacing and drier are two different things.
The pedal is held in place by a shaft that rotates in bushings. Maybe some corrosion on that end. I wouldn't think the cables would go bad in 9 years. (how bad are we talking)
