steel cowl induction hood

Hey, that looks pretty damn good...but the fiberglass one from usbody.com is the same cost. I suppose the metal one would be more resilient, but given how rarely I dent my current hood, I'd rather go with the fiberglass.

It looks that somebody is finally making a hood for newer model cherokees because US body only goes up to 96 and everybody was always complaining about that.

hey talyn,
go to reflexxion.com and find there number on there, they will give you the number to the nearest dealer to you. if you can't find the number, email them.

if someone brings up an old topic, all the smartasses will post a link to the search feature. if you use the search feature and post to an old thread, than you get $hit on for that. can't anyone do anything right without asshole forum geeks hounding them?!

I think you got this wrong. Here someone brought an old topic up and gave advice to someone who was looking for something 2 years ago. This is different from someone asking same question to which an answer could be found through a search. Btw, why do you have to go and start calling people names? All that TORX did was make an observation that it's an old thread.

My understanding was that everything was Hinkley's fault?

2 year old thread and I still get the email notification on new posts! :sunshine:
I ended purchasing the steel cowl Reflexxion hood from an online retailer in Arizona, Stylin' Concepts (I think???) I got it on sale for $320 but I don't think you can get them that cheap anymore?
The hood is a great fit and didn't need any refitting, shaping or anything else like the fiberglass hoods usually need before mounting, just paint. I have 2 friends with $500+ fiberglass hoods on their trucks and they required quite a bit of work to get them fitted properly before they could be painted and the final mounting.
From what I understand, GoJeep's Reflexxion hood went on without any problems either.
Very nice fit and finish.
Here's mine:

I think I'll be going with the Reflexxion hood. How well does it help with cooling?

I had mine put on last fall so I haven't been through a summer with it yet.
GoJeep has had his on longer than me and has a very nice write up on it here. He even did some airflow testing with it under low and high speed driving conditions.
