I think you mis-understood my question. There are TWO TYPES, not sure of the exact years but I know the 2000 / 2001 are a different size than 88 to 97.

So - What year XJ did you purchase the Flares for?

I have 2 98's
I believe 97-01 is the same body.
I could be wrong . but they fit.
