Speaking of Barnwell

NAXJA donated $1000 to the TMTC last year, do they know who we are yet? Has anyone on our BOD been able to speak with them? I was never able to get them on the phone and I tried several times. Scott, how did Xterra club get their campsite?

I think when Barnwell first opened up the Club was one fo the first to start volunteering out there and were allowed to choose an officail club camp site.

Also speaking of Gilmer, xxxMidianxxx has a RRC window stick up as a reward for anyone that can find his purple spider out there.

I never said anything about a window banner... but there is a reward IF you can find it...

I would do NOTHING in the "obelisk of passion" after I saw burbon drunk and pissing in it...

Ooopps my bad... I wasn't going to say anything.

I'll pay for the banner if someone finds the spider that was lost.

Looks like the hunt is on:

Its about the size of a quarter, purple and made of plastic. Not sure where I lost it but its out there some where!

If you want to speak with any of them you have to join the TMTC forum and contact them via PM initially, last I heard they were actually looking for people to sponsor some of the trail. Seems they are having issue with clubs not maintaining their trails after Clyde left.

That also what I was woundering when I asked what we get for the donation. I would like it if we did sponsor and maintain a trail.

Trail sponsorship has little to do with monetary donations, you must be willing to commit your time. For me it was easy when I lived in Nac, but it is a bit harder now that I have to drive much further.

I'll see if I can chase one of them down this weekend on the forums and confirm the donation / ask about a campsite / ask about a trail.

Also, if anyone doesn't get the TMTC newsletter, this was in it:

May brings United Four Wheel Drive Association (UFWDA) to Dallas for their annual meeting and a trip to BMRA to showcase our park. This is a great opportunity to further our story for the national audience as well, with people from across the US coming to the event. UFWDA is planning a blowout weekend for Memorial Day and entertainment and food events will be open to all park patrons that weekend. Guided trail rides are being planned for 4x4 enthusiasts as well. If you have a spare seat and will attend, please do so, as there may well be people at BMRA from distances that preclude bringing their own rigs. Let's show them some good ol' Texas hospitality! As part of my relationship with UFWDA, I have been asked by Marti Pugh to serve on an advisory council to the board. This is an important opportunity to build bridges be TMTC and national organizations as well as between user groups.

That might be a good time for us to show up and be seen by both the TMTC crowd and the UFWDA crowd. Get our name out as the good guys, so to speak.

I don't think the SWXC is sponsoring Xway anymore... does not look like they have the partcipation. I was president of that club when we got it :) Maybe RRC can sponsor it... it's a good trail. Maintence weekend is April 4th I think.

If there is interest we could contact Glen the current President... and Chia arn't you still VP of SWXC?
