NAPA has the US Military style battery cable clamps. for those of you who are familiar with them. you can replace just the cable with this type. cut off the corroded or damaged cable end, and crimp or solder another end onto the cable and bolt it back on. and this style are much better to add winch cables to. one bolt clamps to the post, and another just holds the cable onto the clamp.

We've been using these for years. I put creeper cables on my XJ back in 2005 IIRC.
