Somebody figure this puzzle out, it's driving me nuts!!

My uncle sent this to me from a corvette forum, count the number of men, and then count them again after they shift, and explain why the # of men changes.

they do not shift fully over. Look at the hair on the guy all the way on the right....notice the flat top after the shift?

The guy on the end on the left side (as you look at the photo) looses his hair, but still remains.

All three guy on the bottom row just lose their hair. The guy ion the right gets none in return, but the guy with white pants and the other guy switch heads. The number of legs stay the same, why wont it let me print both pics? I cant get the one with the guys flattop to print.
