So what's the deal with naxja.com & .net?

Short story is that the domain renewal never happened, and Glenn hasn't been able to find and records on his machines.

Only recourse now is to go through GoDaddy this week, and hope that the grace period hasn't expired. I also need to arrange for an account transfer from Glenn to the club for the .net domain.

Crap.... and I was thinking it was only the .com domain that bombed.
 
We've got .org for sure. Glenn is working on the .net issue with GoDaddy, and once that's done, we'll get both of those domains transferred over to a NAXJA specific account. This account will transition to the next suck..., I mean, administrator who follows me.

The .com domain.... that's gonna take a little more work.
 
Here is what I heard back from Godaddy....

If the BOD really wants to have the .net, they need to approve the funds... and probably prety quickly. So, now y'all know what I know.

Thank you for contacting Online Support. Unfortunately this domain name cannot be renewed from within your customer account. According to a whois lookup at the registry, the domain name NAXJA.NET expired on 3/5/2008 and was held in a short grace period to allow the registrant to renew. Given that the domain was not renewed in a timely fashion, the domain has now entered a 30 day 'Redemption Period'. During this period the registered owner may renew the domain by paying a redemption fee.

If you wish to recover the domain from the redemption period, please reply with the following information:

• A specific request to redeem the domain (include the actual domain name).

• The last four digits of the payment method already on file that you would like billed, as indicated within your account under 'Credit Card & Payment Info'.

• An acknowledgment that your card will be charged $90.19. This amount includes the $80 redemption fee plus the regular one year renewal of a .net domain name.

• Confirm that you have read and agree to our 'Universal Terms of Service.'

Please note that after receiving your confirmation to redeem the domain, it can take up to 3 business days for the redemption request to be completed. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience.

Thanks Scrappy.... I pop in when I can. Life is crazy and my time here is very limited.

So.... you can bring the funds issue to the BOD or hovever you guys handle it these days. For reasons I cannot go in to here yet (I cannot say anything until the lawyers give the go ahead), I am not in a position to front the funds unless the repayment is good to go. I need every penny I have at this point.

I actually just did it over the phone with Godaddy. It should be in my account shortly.... they say. I just paid $90.19. That gets it out of redemption and a 1 year renewal. You BOD types can work on the funding as soon as you can.... I would appreciate that.

Jeff, when it gets back in my godaddy account.... and NAXJA has paid for it, we can get it in to the account you set up.
 
Glenn, go ahead and pay the $90 and NAXJA can paypal it back to you within 24 hours, or if you prefer i can cut a check for it and send it to you asap. Either way, go ahead and I will make sure you get reimbursed ASAP.
