so much for the Northwest weather............

both of our wells have pretty much run dry.... several very dry years, and no rain in a loooong time.

It does not always rain in the Northwest, lol. quite the opposite lately. We actually just had to have 1000 gallons of water trucked in to fill our holding tank. We use water very sparringly, so hopefully it lasts a little while. This could get old real quick. Wells are drying up all over the place here. :(

Just thought I would share.

Baked Alaska takes on a whole new meaning :)

No, I'm not geographically impaired, but they're running a close second on the drought thing this year, the whole West coast of N. America is in the throes of it.

We're catching the North end of the monsoon low here so we have some respite. Not much, its still just as hot, but now the humidity is up.

But you guys aren't so lucky...

There's upsides to all this, but I can't think of any right now, its too d**n hot. Take care, and keep yer cool. I'm praying that some fool doesn't spark a fire, here or in your neck o' the woods.

I wish you the best with your well. Mine came close to drying up a few years ago and that was miserable.

Think of it this way Glenn. At least you don't have to deal with the heat too.

We broke the records for most consecutive day's above 100 and the most days above 100 during the year so far. August is supposed to be the hottest month and we haven't even gotten that far. We got a nice little thunder storm last week that dumped .25" in about 30 minutes. That was the first rain we've had in a few months. I still haven't figured out how the AZ guys can stand it, let alone like it there. :)

I've heard a quite a few people having well problems here also. They are mostly in the 40 to 60 feet range. That's more like a ditch than a well. I'm used to wells being 200 to 300 feet deep.

Our wells are 1 80 footer, 2 300 feet.

Do not think we have not had heat here as well. has been terrible. Mid 90s is not normal... a couple days a year... yes. But not for long stretches.

I grew up in the Mojave desert... that heat is different than here for sure. But either way... HOt is Hot. lol

We did finally have a marine push today... nice and cool. :)

Yeh, so did we. 101 today and only 100 tomorrow. The funny thing is the official temp is taken in one of the coolest places in town. When I left work it was 108.

The only nice thing is, when it drops to around 90 it's going to feel like spring. I almost forgot. It isn't humid, so that's a plus.

I have to wear a sweater in the mornings... but until today.... mid 90s. 30+ degree temperature swings. lol

Don't really know about the rest of Washington, but in down town Seattle, we were running 94* most of the week. That's hot to me. I work in an automotive shop with 12'x12' sky lights. It's like a greenhouse. No wind either.

Yeah, we finally got winds this afternoon at abot 4pm. been hot out here too... but not in an auto shop. Gave that and firefighting up for webhosting.... my body is wearing out.
