Slight stumble/knock

at idle my engine has a slight stumble to it its not bad and it sounds like its just a timing issue? 1987 XJ

Not likely. The timing is electronic. Has it had a full tune up lately? Plugs, wires, rotor, cap? Has the IAC been cleaned? Have the sensor grounds been checked???
