I am looking for a good online player for mac OS 10.5.x. I have used Pulsar up until this point but they no longer support the old version and sirius made online changes.

I know it is a long shot but maybe someone uses sirius online... on mac OS ha.

Or. maybe someone has figured out a way to use the official browser player without having to click the timer button all the time.

Google Music?

I'm in the same boat except on a pc. Switching to another service is not an option for me either but their web player is junk, sound quality is poor and timeout is very irritating. It seems for a paid service they could easily fix these issues but I don't think they listen to their customers.

After the upgrade I don't know of any third party player that works correctly there were a few that fixed the numbering for the channels but any channel with a new number that did not exist before does not work.

That really sucks, I liked the App I used a lot. I emailed the software company and they just say it is not feasible for them to update the older version. They are a small software company, I would think making current paying customers happy would be a priority but who am I to tell them what to do I guess.

The App I used I think is working 100% right now but only the newest version, I don't think they make a windows version though.

I did read you can trick the timeout on the sirius player. Once the player is open and running, disable javascript and it won't pop the timeout window. Kind of a pain to disable the JS each time but it might be better than clicking all the time.

Do you listen to Stern or someone else? ;)

'Never thought it was worth the 2 bucks a month to enable internet access on my Sirius account. Listening to you guys, I'm glad I didn't. Sounds like one of those "services" that would just annoy me.

When I had everything working properly for the past few years it was great. I used the sirius app to tune the stern show, then another app to record it and finally encode to mp3 and dump to my iPod. I had it all automated, didn't have to do anything except plug in my iPod and sync daily.

It is not for everyone and if I wanted to just listen at home I would get a home player. The online player is limited and doesn't even have NFL games.

it used to be free.
and didn't time out

you can thank the recording industry for ruining that about 6 years ago.
I won't pay the extra for it either, but i did used to enjoy it at work.

87 'has a 4 digit sirius subscriber number' manche

A while back everything did work great. Lately at home I've been streaming it from my phone and plugging it into my speakers. The interface is better but you still get the timeout and it likes to drop the connection and not reconnect. I'm thinking about getting something like a Logitech Squeezebox to see if it's any better. If not I'll cancel my online service and use something else.
