I found a barrel for my shotgun that i like but i have no knowledge of hastings barrels or chokes. how to the barrels compare to factory barrels. i also noticed they use a different choke. how good are their chokes? does anybody else make a choke for their barrels, i know briley dont. i would be getting a 12ga 30" or 34" smooth bore barrel. i wanted 32" but it aint avaiable. also does anybody have any knowledge of the wadlock technology they use on their smooth bore barrels? is sounds like a good idea or is it just bull.

thanks

I would say their quality is as good as anybodys. Most mail order places carry their replacement tubes.
This "wadlock"has been tried on many target guns, retards the wad so it doesnt disrupet the shot .It MAY be a benefit ?

They make fine stuff, as good as Briley or anybody else.

My buddy has a 28" hastings w/choke on his Rem 1100 and really likes it. Consistent round patterns, no corrosion issues while duck hunting. Why do you want a 32" or 34" barrel? Isn't that really long, even for geese? I'd go with the 30", unless you're 7 feet tall. Shotgun pellet velocity doesn't get much better after 28" with a longer barrell.
