hey guys, me and a few buddies are gonna go wheelin and camping at short mountain in middle tn on tuesday. there has been some rumors that the entire area was siezed to be used as a wildlife refuge, but they only siezed half of it, the other half remains public access. the side where we've always gone wheeling and camping was unaffected by the siezure as far as i know, and i have been there a few times in the last couple of months. if you want to come, text me @

you can call, but i'll probably be at work and will have to call you back.

this will be mild wheeling, and just some good campfire time after dark. not trying to impress the tube buggy crowd, just have a good time with some friends.

man, this is the same response i got from the itsajeep.org crowd.
i guess me and my two friends are the only people i know that have their days off during the week, lol.

Yep, but Im getting sick of the usual wheeling places. I love Tennesee, so **** it. Ill come up and stay a few days.

Ill be there for the november windrock ecors race... trying to get up sooner, but i need to get a towrig, been using dads f250 for the last few years and the engine finally died, pulling it soon and replacing it, but still its time to get my own.

yeah, i know how it is. new wheeling spots are like new girlfriends, and old wheeling spots are like old girlfriends, lol. one is fun and exciting, with new things to try and explore and the other, not so much anymore, lol.

i don't know that short mountain is much compare to windrock, but there is definitely some fun stuff there, and if you're already in middle tn there are a few parks around. we have woolys, wheeling in the country, and just a little bit north is wishbone ranch here in southern ky where i'm living now. if you come and stay for a few days, you're welcome at my house as long as we go wheeling, lol.

Hmm I love close to Louisville and I have been looking for wheeling buddies. We me might have to set up something in a little bit more of an advance and I would pbly come for that. Of course my grandpa lives in Nashville so that would be a good excuse to use lol

guys, this wheeling trip was phenominal. i've been to short mountain several times, but usually get off the trail before dark. this time, we got there late, and set up camp. then we decided to go wheeling, even though the sun was getting low. the trails were unmaintained, so we brought a chainsaw to cut up downed trees and keep the more gnarly trails accessible. we ended up wheeling late into the night, and coming back to camp.
once there we cooked up some food and enjoyed a campfire, then got up and took off early.
my buddy broke some stuff on his cj, so i had to tow him from short mountain to antioch.
anyway, it was great!
