get yourself a front main seal, timing cover gasket, and timing chain + sprocket set too, since you're popping the pan off you might as well check if that's all hunky dory and replace as needed. Crown might have a better price though, not sure.

grrr i really didnt want to deal with takin apart the frt of the motor

:dunno: might as well have it on hand just in case - actually I have the full kit if you end up discovering you need it, I got it in case I discovered I needed it but still haven't gotten around to dropping the pan on my shit

if i wind up needing it then ill go and get it, other then that i wont mess with it

I would like into Rockauto for some of the stuff. Usually cheaper and you can easily find a discount code.
IE. the oilpan gasket is 18.74 compared to 24.75 at Summit
3.71 for the valve cover gasket compared to 5.25
Etc. etcetera. Might not save ya a whole lot but every little bit helps.

Forget the pump if you have the stock cast iron one, I've heard that the aftermarket high volumes aren't any better.

Also, no need to do the timing chain/sprocket set if there aren't a lot of miles on the engine. I've never heard of anyone stretching or destroying them. I would do the front main seal though while you have the pan off.

would you consider 194k high miles? and how hard is the frt seal?

worst thing about doing it is pulling the HB to get at it, it's pressed into the front of the timing chain cover and is one-piece unlike the RMS.

I guess see how much it is for the gearset and the chain. If it already has 194K miles, how much longer do you expect it to last with hard trail riding? If the set is cheap, do it. If it's $100+ I'd say no thanks.

Never done a front seal before. But I think you have to pull the balancer to get to it?

I definitely paid less than 3/4 that for my Crown one. I don't recall the exact price after shipping.

You had bad luck with a tre & some sensors...the rest of that stuff, the valve cover gasket, ours are OE supplier, felpro oil pan gaskets & rear main, and all the timing stuff is all MADE IN USA.

Colin, I agree that some of the parts have had issues, but that's what happens when you have 8,000 different parts...sometimes there are some bad ones depending on the supplier. As far as the rest of the stuff, we've been selling them to EVERYONE for years.

Also I'd be able to save Rob a little $$ but I can't ship to NH and don't have the high-flow pump, the 'performance' ignition stuff...only stock replacement. Otherwise those gaskets are all the exact ones we sell.

Not know what you really need most of that looks good.

Regarding gaskets, believe it or not when I did Angel's head gasket we got them at a semi-local Dodge dealer (actually it would be on the way to your place from my area) for much cheaper than SummitRacing and local auto parts stores. I know it sounds odd, but give a few parts departments a call.
As for those lugnuts, BLING! I got something like these for <60cents each at the local autoparts store: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-7540027/
Is your hood latch messed up? Otherwise I don't understand the $30 on pins.

That's just my take on it.

I have the High volume melling oil pump i get 60 psi cold at idle and 30-35 psi at idle hot, also consider putting in a new set of main and rod bearings just to freshen it up down there

run it till it blows keep changing the oil and when it starts knocking then you have something to worry about
