ruff idel no overdrive and no kick down

I have a couple of things wrong firstly the idel was up to 2000 rpm and now down to 1500 ish i cant get overdrive and have no kick down any ideas?

Dependig on the year, I would guess that its a TPS. In the later years it "talks" to the transmission to tell it when to shift.

Its a 97 face lift version would this be the one?

very likely, but if it is that new, you should be getting a "check engine light" and a quick trip to a parts store should tellyou what is wrong.
