Rest in Peace Earl

I met him once a long time ago at the Telluride Blue Grass Festival. Nice guy.

Was listening to WPR when they were covering the news. NPR did a good job of covering why he was of note; I had no idea he influenced the playing of the Banjo so much.

I just walked past the Ryman Auditorium about 30 minutes ago. His funeral was in progress.

Whoops. I was wrong. The funeral is tomorrow.

RIP....Glad to see i'm not the only bluegrass fan on here.

I was at the Grand Ole Opry last night and Earl was mentioned. No less than 6 times and a lot of bluegrass got played!

He was a great musician, between him and John Hartford they made the banjo what it is today

I love me some good Bluegrass!

My favorite band, locals, called "The Bluegrass Brothers". Many of my co-workers sit in with them and pick on the weekends. You can hear a lot of Earl Scruggs influence in their music.

Good bunch of guys too!
