Removing Surgical Staples.... DIY mod or see a Dr.?

my g/f had surgery and they removed the staples... well they missed 3... shes about to go to the Dr's office 1.5 HOURS from here for this... im like "Fuck it, i'll do it.."...

i mean its not hard is it? ive never had staples but i figure they are like any other staple and should just pull right out...

im looking at 2 solutions...

1- Cut them in half then pull each side out incase they are curled at the bottom...

2- just pull the mofawker.

being a JEEP crew, im guessing some here have just done their own... of course i'll sterilize the pliers.. LOL..

im serious.... whats the difference between me and some schumck getting paid WAY to much to do it?

on myself, i'd pull 'em dyi in a second. on someone else, i'd take them to the doc. it's one thing to fark yourself up, someone else-probably a bad idea.
 
with the staple pullers its not too bad u just gotta pull fawking hard, i had 5 in my head and my aunt gave me the removers cuz the docs is also far from here and shes a nurse, so i did it myself
 
If they're anything like the staples I had 25 years ago, they're not straight legged, there is a dogleg at the end.

I would be asking some very pointed questions of the doctor, though. Like why they didn't have a count of how many staples, and WHY they didn't get them all out the first time.
 
Hey all:

I had 20 removed from my ankle in Jan. it hurt like hell I had to get the doc. to stop half way through to catch my breath, you are right in the fact that they are curled under. The doc. has a special plier for this job...

They use these pliers that kind of force the bottoms to "kick out" when they clamp on.
