Removing D44 axle shaft

Looks like you have the retainer plate undone so its just "stuck" in there good. If you have a slide hammer try that or I've been told using the drum, then tightening some lug nuts on lightly will work as a make shift slide hammer. I know the shafts in my D44 when I got it from a yard were a bitch to get out.

Thanks. I flipped the drum around and put on some lug nuts and it came right out. I think I might have seen that in the JP mag.
