I ran a search and couldn't find any topics or members thus far from the area.....would love to chat with someone about general relocating stuff like where to live.......

I may be in the wrong chapter -- not sure.

Thanks.

I lived in Socorro for two years, but I can't tell you much about Las Cruces other than it's hot and dry. Make sure whereever you live has a swamp cooler. Get ready to eat some real southwestern food. New Mexico green chile, yum.

Ok thanks....I have started talking to a few folks out that way. I am sure it will just be easier to chase them down once I am out there (hopefully without getting shot or otherwise harmed). Headed out mid-August -- time to pack!

Hey I don't know if your still wondering about Las Cruces and what it has to offer but I decided to drop by anyway. Born and raised in the city of the crosses (Las Cruces) I know my way around. There's a Off Road club located here (http://www.lascrucesfourwheeldriveclub.com) their website is kinda weak but those guys know what there talking about. There's this one event that they throw the last weekend of February every year. I got some videos that I've getting ready to post up if your intrested get at me....

Is this thing on?

What the #%$! could make you move to Las Cruces?!:dunno: Just asking 'cause I grew up (sorta) there. Hotter than hell though (10 miles from hell, 100 miles from water).
X10 SWAMP COOLER!!!

The desert has it's own style of wheeling, sand is nasty but FUN. Lots of variation to terrain. BRING EXTRA WATER, EVERYWHERE

Food's fantastic, hope you like it hot. You should go to Jack-N-Grill @ 25th and Federal (denver) http://www.jackngrill.com

I haven't been back in a while, so I don't really know where to/not to live, but pm me and I could hook you up with some of my Cruton people.

I have only been here since August....its been a nice winter. Houses are cheap, traffic is next to nothing, they pay me good money -- enough reasons for me!! I wont be here forever.....2-3 years probably.

Thanks for the response..............
