Who is everyone using for rear bumpers and swinging tire carriers? I have a 1997 Cherokee XJ and can't find any suppliers. Please help!

I've got the JCR Vanguard rear bumper (mounted to Circle S brackets) and Adventure Tire Carrier. My unibody is also reinforced by the JCR stiffeners and unibody kits from stem to stern

There are a lot of good and bad bumpers out there. You need to decide on your type of wheeling to get the right one. Have you seen the OEM carrier? The good aftermarket ones tie into the unibody for support. There are also kits out there if you can weld. I would stay away from Smitty Bilt as they are extremely heavy and don't play well with other components. I run a JCR Vanguard that I bought second-hand on FB Marketplace. I really like it. However, I did pair it with the eBay bumper brackets, as well as plating the trailer hitch mounting area on all 3 sides.

The FAO and tnt front bumpers are the best out there in my opinion.

I would also advise to stay away from Smittybilt. They are way too heavy and it likes to rattle around. The hinge and latch have both developed lots of slop so it allows to tire to bounce around. Its especially bad when you hit the right frequency on the highway. That is with a 35 (and previously a 33) mounted though. A smaller and lighter tire might not have the rattling/bouncing issue

I’ve been eyeing FAO’s rear bumper. How would there be room for circle s’s brackets considering FAO’s bumper has its own brackets? I guess you’d have to cut out FAO’s brackets altogether?

I didn't realize they had their own bra ket. Guess I've only paid attention to the finished and installed product. Lol
