So as you can see from my join date vs post count... I was here, then gone, and now I'm here again :D

Got my third xj about 2 months ago. God I missed these things.

I'm in Nolensville, TN now. Work in Cool Springs. Got a toddler and another one on the way (both boys, thank Jeebus) so I don't have as much free time right now as I'd like, but I have been able to convince the wife that me and the boys can use the jeep as a bonding experience via camping, wheeling, and wrenching. so theres that.

How YOU doin?

Welcome back. I'm just on the other side of Sunset Road from you...a mere 6 miles from the Advance Auto in Nolensville.

I hope your wife will see the benefit in doing the camping and such. I have 2 girls (thank, Jeebus) that are in the truck with me pretty much every single time I am on the trail, and in getting ready for the Crawl next week, they wrenched on it for me. My youngest removed the calipers and axle shafts and my oldest removed the tires and drained the differential.

I drive sunset every day. I live within walking distance of that Advance Auto, which now that I think about it is probably a really good thing lol.

This is me, for now:

I have a front bumper in the garage and a rear bumper w/tire carrier on order.

That is a nice looking XJ. Welcome back!

I've met the guy you bought that from. I don't recall his name, but he bought a front skid plate from me. He works over in Cool Springs. Doesn't look like he installed it from that picture.

He wrote to me a couple weeks back - maybe a month ago - and told me he sold his XJ and bought a WJ. I've seen you out and about at times.

There are no nutcerts for the front skid plate. Just a few random bolts.

Hmm....

My 2001 didn't come with a plate front factory and it has the nuts for the sides already welded in.

I use one on each side of the "arms" and two in the front.

Either way...good looking rig.

I really like the way it looks but after a couple of weeks of driving it, I'm torn on the wheels...

They're 18" JK rims with some 1" spacers that adapt them to the correct bolt pattern. Theres a little bit of rubbing at full lock. They're pretty, that's for sure, but I'm kind of wanting to go with some 15" black cragars.

I wasn't going to say anything! :shhh: I'm not a fan. They remind me of 30's on a Caprice Classic! Cragers would look good on that Jeep.

You can fix that rub at full lock by backing out the stop nut and putting some washers in. I have 3 washers in each side on mine and it gave me about 3/4 of an inch, which was what I needed to keep my MTs from rubbing.

I passed you on Moore's Lane over by the old school house about 5 pm on Friday. What's up? You don't wave at WJ's?? :dunno:

I'll let it slide this time....
