Re Coils making contact with the RE trackbar bracket

OK, on the street it's perfect... but on the trail as I articulate the coil makes contact (and a irritating CLUNK) with the bracket more or less where the weld is on the bracket. I measured the axle and it's actually shifted over a bit more to the drivers side then passenger, so I don't think adjusting the TB is not really the answer. I'm thinking about ignoring it for now... unless it can/should be addressed somehow.

I have the same problem with my RE 5.5HD lift, not sure if its normal either, haven't heard too much about it so just kinda ignored it.

Not to high-jack your thread but does your tie-rod ball-joint hit your passenger side sway-bar mount?

Completely normal. Just ingnore it. Here is what has happened:

When you lifted your XJ, you also installed adjustable control arms. And so you adjusted your pinion angle up so you wouldn't have front driveline vibrations. This rotated the coil pads forward. Take a good look at your coils - they will be arched to the front of your rig instead of straight.

You probably also lengthened your LCA's to keep the wheelbase centered, which pushes the axle forward on compression. With the rotated coil perches and lengthened LCA's, the coil bangs on the trackbar mount upon compression.

Yet another reason short arm D30 setups suck :D .
