I have to paint my flares and it isn't going to get above 40 this week. I have a car port. I want a Garage bad. Any way is the reason you shouldn't paint say below 60 because of the way it flows out of the can, or is because the surface is to cold for it to stick. What I'm asking I guess , is if I go out a few times and do it when the paint can is room temp, will it adhere good in 30/40 degree temps ? ? ? ? Rust-Oleum

just follow the directions on the can...A few weeks ago I was using spray in bedliner to help proetct from floor rot. Well it was 50-60 outside and it sait on the can it needed 65+ to dry. It said it would completly dry in 5 hrs. Well 3 days later it still want dry. I hard to park the jeep in the garage turn on the space heater and stick an electric heater in the carb for 5-10 hours to get it to dry...

I tried painting a bike with real nice paint when it was 50° once. Looked like the bike had fish scales when it dried. It was the worst paint job I've ever seen or done.

A little late to reply, I guess, but I've found that rattle can results vary greatly, depending on what sort of paint is in them. Some enamels can be a real problem, while others that are lacquer-based will work just about anywhere. It's always a good idea to try a sample patch on something unimportant before committing to it.

what about one of those electric space heaters just aim it at the flair and get it good and warm let the paint warm inside and then spray keep the heat on till it dries and then move on to the next one. it will take a little while but at least you will have a good bond/appearence
