I'm broke, and I eat like a fatass so groceries don't last long, and I don't really like plain ramen cause its too plain, so I gotta be creative. I'm sure lots of us here could benefit from these.
So post em up, I wanna see your best ramen recipes.

Here's one I just pulled out of my ass cause I didn't wanna make real food. Its actually pretty good.

Chicken Alfredo Ramen (almost)

Start making the ramen as usual.
Cut up 3-4 hot dogs (didn't have any chicken) and dump em in the boiling water when the noodles are about halfway done.
When noodles are done, drain the water out (just tilt the damn pot, no need for fancy pasta strainers or nothin).
Add butter. Lots of it. I use the kind in the big tub and just scoop it out with a spoon, so I dunno exact measurements, but I figure it was probably like 1/2 cup or so.
Add some garlic powder and a little salt (I was going for garlic salt here).
Add a tiny bit of basil.
Add a little whipped cream, enough to make it creamy but not enough to where its sweet. (You should use cream, but I didn't have any of that.)
Then put in a good amount of parmesan cheese. I used the cheap kind in the plastic jar thing with the green label, its grated so it mixes in better.

And there ya go... hot dog whipped cream ramen, aka chicken alfredo.

Anybody else got any?

easy.

step 1: make ramen
step 2: add frank's hot sauce
step 3: eat

X2 except i add Louisiana

at least 2 meals a week and my 4yr old loves them too

I've always found if you cook ramen, then drain out almost all the water THEN add the seasoning, it ends up being much stronger tasting.

1 package of Top Ramen + 2 Eggs. Boil for 5 minutes. Voila, egg drop soup.

Goes great with El Yucateco habanero sauce.

1: buy ramen
2: quit spending your money on women! :D

Hah my roomate and I got creative in college & took pictures of us eating ramen noodles & sent them off to the Nissin company. We even told them we were working on marketing Ramen noodles for dessert for them,

So we went to the dining hall & grabbed a bunch of chocolate kiss type crap that people would put on their ice cream & microwaved it on top of the noodles. It looked sick, like someone poopied liquid on gross noodles.

Then we took pictures of us eating these black ass hot melted chocolate covered noodles with mouths agape! We sent the pics and a letter telling them all we wanted was some free t-shirts, but they returned us a letter saying that due to their no budget advertizing they dont make t-shirts but here is a cupon for some free ramen.

pics if i can find them.....

i've been eating hot dog ramen with tapatio in it for years, nice to see I'm not the only one :D Ramen is on sale this week at kroger 24/$3 :gee:

That sounds really good, I'll have to try that.

I like to add some shredded or diced cheese, garlic, onion powder, a little oregano, cayenne pepper, and call it good. I also like taking Kraft (or usually store brand) mac n cheese, put garlic, onion powder, and cayenne in it.

add meat- bacon, beef, pork, chicken. what ever is on sale for cheap. sometimes the bags of chicken breast go on sale for cheap.

or swallow pride and go to the food bank. my local one not only offers the free basic food but sells produce (fresh) and meat "boxes" for dirt cheap. you also end up with at least one "pantry box" (not so basic non perishables) for free with purchase.

When I am backpacking, ramen with a sausage gravy packet and whatever meat i choose for the evening makes a seriously filling dinner.

In HK, these malls are right across my cousins' apartment complex. We'd go in there and sit at the restaurant and eat ramen for breakfast. Pretty much the whole menu is ramen w/ different crap. I usually get the ham with eggs and some veggies. Miss it so much.

I'm dying from the high levels of sodium in these recipes just reading them....... :puke:

when i was stationed in Korea, i always had some cheese ramen.
1: boil noodles
2:drain "about" half the water
3: toss out the flavor packet (or save it for future meal)
4: top cooked noodles with sliced cheese (yellow American usualy)
5: add cayenne powder
6:mix it all in (more to make sure the cheese melts all the way)
7: pick up your chop sticks (or fork) & enjoy!

but lately i just toss in the flavor packet & some cayenne & chow down.
