ok now i have been around here for a little while, and havnt seen this in all my research for my hp44 radius arm install....

i was wondering if anyone has ever taken the "C"s and radius arms and put them out back... on say a 14bff, or anything else for that matter????

what would be pros, and cons of a set up like this?

is it just stupid, or would it work well?

i asked this question before and got some hi tech answers that said baisicly the charicteristics of that would be really bad off road ( anti squat, roll center ect... ) and mabi even on road as well.

what if you applied a liberal amount of center strap, and designed it to get your movement at the wheels only rather than full axle droop? would that change anything?

If you're okay with the anti-squat characteristics of a radius arm rear (center limiting strap will help) I would rather go with a "one-link" with a nice massive joint on the wishbone. With radius arms there is still axle wrap and bind, but with a "one-link" there is neither. Here's one example of the "one-link": http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35652&highlight=one-link

do the ford style radius arms bind up any more or less than say the style a lot of guys are runing with only one upper? i imagine the "C" bushings move a bit more than the little CA bushings, but i could be wrong

Rovers are radius arm rear, and they seem to wheel. Although they dont connect to the axle with a "C" bushing like Ferds, they use two separate bushings fore/aft of the axletube.

edit:

They call them "trailing arms"
