Radiator swap

NAXJA Forum User
Hey all,

Swapping the radiator tonight. I have a few weird things going on and I hope this fixes it. I have a question about the lower trans hose and how the new radiator gets installed.

If anyone has done this recently and can give me some moral support give me a call

Thanks

Basically the new radiator requires me to cut the bottom trans hose and clamp it on the new radiator on a piece of tubing that is included and that just doesn't seem right.

Jiffy title connection need fuel line disconnect tool . Mine leaked after install two weeks ago I am going to cut the tubing and install regular hose and get rid of jiffy title connection.

I just used a thin piece of metal that I was able to wrap around the tube and slide into the connection and it popped out. I wouldn't cut it if I didn't absolutely have to. But the tool he is referring to probably would have made I a little easier.

Is this model year specific? I just swapped mine out last week. The trans cooler just quick disconnected and reconnected by squeezing the plastic tabs.

I think those will work like the previous post I think its the 5/16 I used some from Napa they were plastic just push them in then the hose should come loose.
