Radial trailer tires

I have always run radials on my single place until this past spring when I found a place that had take off trailer tires that were bias. Only reason I replaced the radials was that they were worn out...probably had 20k on them. I think that the bias ride rougher. They were only $40 a piece so I thought I'd try them.

That and I had just spent $1200 putting 6 G rated tires on the big trailer.

mac 'bias have about 2k on them so far still holding air' gyvr

I found load range d Goodyear marathons at tire rack. 10 bucks more than the c's but it might make a difference. A lot of RV forums are saying to go to your local tire shop and request the American made ones and you'll get them.

I'm sure they will be fine. I replaced the tires on our last travel trailer with load range D radials, they ran cool with no vibes. Much better than the mismatched car tires that came on it.

Looking at my boat trailer, I see I have a Chicness tire on one side of it, it will be gone before spring.

What do you do with old tires?
I have quite a collection of them I have picked up along my road from Aholes who dump them there.

I use them for the safety barrier for the figure 8 go kart track in the back yard.

mac 'safety is our number 2 concern' gyvr
