Question for the moderators

Gentlefolks,

I would appreciate NAXJA's official position on an issue, which I notice lately in some threads.

Someone starts a thread and ask for the opinion of the other participants on a specific issue (like for example "What do you think on XYZ's product ABC?").

Some times, when someone comes hard against that particular vendor or product (a product is always related to a vendor, I think), there are some other participants which consider it their obligation to say something like:

"Stop whinning" or "Stop your personal vendetta" or whatever towards that meaning.

Am I correct in assuming that this forum exists to exchange ideas and opinions on our XJs? Am I correct in assuming that one man's horror stories can prevent others from facing the same? Am I correct in assuming that if someone can prove what he says, he has every right to say what his experience was, to warn others?

I am really looking forward to your answers, since for me, these are some of the reasons, for which I participate in this forum. To gain from the experience of the rest of the group. Maybe I am wrong though.

Mind you, this was not initiated from something that happened to me (although something similar happened to me some time ago).

Kind regards

I am not a moderator, nor do I play one on TV, but I think what someone means when they say "stop whinning" is they like the product and have had no bad luck with it. Or they are just having fun and hasseling you, a lot of that goes on here also. No one means any harm by it it's just good fun, Hey jump right back as soon as you get the opportunity. Anyone who I have seen make a personal attack has been reprimanded.

Hope this helps. Sean
