Question for RE SwayBar disco users with about 4" ~ 5" lift

OK... I have the 3" disco, but it's too short for my 4.5"+ and I want to know what you guys have as a length for that little tube piece. I'm planning on finding a longer one and drilling the side holes out for the pins... but I don't want to go too short or too long. I was going to originally eyeball it... or just add the length of lift difference of what I have now vs 3" to the current length.... but might as well ask the question :D

As it is now, I keep banking the top of the swaybar into the coils..... it's irritating as hell...

I just got my JKS discos from Dirk, and in the instructions are a chart that shows the preferred angles for the sway bar. They recommend a 15 degree angle up from the frame mount or + or - 5 from OEM. Not sure if that will be what would work for the REs, but it's 14 degrees and dark out, so I don't really feel like looking at my XJ right now. If nobody gives you a better answer I'll try to look tomorrow. HTH

Go JKS...or go get a plenty long peice of tube, drill the lower pin hole, and set it on the lower mount. Then, cut down the tube to the length you need for the swaybar to be at the proper angle. Then when you have the length set up, drill the upper pin hole. Then cut the other side to the same length. :dunno: I've got JKS.

Thanks guys for the tips... the degree thing will definately help.... now if I could only get some recomendations as to how to squeeze about 4 more hours into a day that'd be great :D

Something else I remembered last night. My 5.5" kit came with swaybar relocation brackets that lower the frame mounting points and also move them slightly(I can't remember if forward or backward?). I couldn't use them because of my hitch/towbar brackets, so if they would help you let me know. 50% off RE price + shipping. As far as the 4 extra hours, I'd like to find that, too. I'm already sleeping 1 or 2 hours less than I should be :speepin:
