I have two different craftsman 2.5 ton floor the short frame type one is low profile other one is a regular floor jack they both pretty much worthless

I'm sure I could break it.
In fact, I'm sure that I *will* as I need a jack that will fit under my Bimmer and a Brunnhoelzl is just not in the budget, so I might as well get the cheapest lo-pro jack I can.
I'd prefer to buy a new jack for which replacement parts and rebuild kits are available, but it seems that that's not what consumers want, so they're simply not available at reasonable prices.

Well if you do break it, it only cost 70 bucks. There is zero reason to buy some German made jack fir hundreds of dollars.

$1300 for an effing floor jack?? I have to tip my hat to you sir, bc you clearly have had a successful career if you are able to even consider something like that.

I most certainly can't; I've driven functional vehicles for years that I paid less for than one of those jacks!
What's depressing to me though, is that I honestly don't believe that any of the "low profile racing jacks" on the market that are less expensive are significantly better than the Harbor Freight one, or are any more likely to have seal/rebuild kits available for them in a few years when I'll need one. So it'll get recycled into beer cans and razor blades, and I'll drop another $70 (adjusted for inflation) at the Freight, and the cycle will continue.
I've got tools that I inherited from my grandfather; if I ever have kids I'll bet that those will be more likely to get passed down than any of the ones I've bought myself.
