Pump iron?

Just curious, anyone here regularly exercise (can of beer to lips does not count as a curl) and or lift weights? Martial arts?

Me, I pump iron, have been (on and off) since junior year in high school. Do some cardio to stay lean and eat almost exclusively only protein, for many years now; before the Atkins rage.
Bench:405, Squat: 500

Took some martial arts (Kung-Fu), but that was a loooooong time ago.

I make it to the gym about 4-5 times/week (mostly free-weight stuff), and I have a Bowflex at home. Although my dieting skills are 'iffy' at best, I don't smoke, and haven't had a drink in 4 and a half years.

Well, I'm a bit out of practise, but I (need to start) do(ing again) Judo, Aikido, Dragon and Crane Kung Fu, and Hikuta, and isometrics. I don't know what my weight capacities are now, but they were ridiculous when I was still in service (old Airborne.)

I also want to take Tai Chi Ch'uan, both forms. That would prove useful to me.

My weight went a little nuts years ago, but I'm currently 226# (althought I'm told I don't look it) and not too far gone out of shape. Most people don't think I have a 36" waist, either.

I used to think that Bo-flex was a joke, until I saw it in person at CostCo last week, gave it a test, very nice, I got a pump. I like the gym though, being around others that are suffering just as much as me, makes me push harder, especailly when a 350lb juiced up animal is next to me, makes me work that much harder.

Im guilty of enjoying cigars and my bourbon though, but thats really only on the weekends.

I plan on taking Brasilian Jiu Jitsu this winter.

Among those like me, there is a saying -

"My gun and my knife are only tools. I am the weapon."

Of course, try convincing legislators of that. I find it interesting, however, that I could realistically get in less trouble for shooting someone than punching him...

rich, you must realize that this subject and the timing of which it was posted appears to be totally antagonistic on your part don't you think?

"coincidence" is hardly probable.

I dont workout much since leaving the Army with a bad back. But, I do shoot well and would rather be the guy alive with the smoking gun then the dead muscle head on the floor :D

Delete 'Back', insert 'Knee'...and I'll roger that.

I work out about 3 times a week and run about two miles everyday
I gotta stay in shape to get that firefighter job
Can you DIG IT!

Un-****ing-real

This is the most rediculous post ever, and I mean EVER. XJGUY, a bunch of people recently called you out as a liar, poser, and plain-old jack***. More than one member has called you out about your BS. Now you post about working out and taking self defense? You have unofficially ostricised yourself from Jeeping, fabbing, and decent people in general. I eagerly anticipate your next post about your recent completion of the 'How to kill a guy in 23 seconds' course. You are a tool, and if you ever decide to show up in my general vicinity, I will take it upon myself to cause you great discomfort. Like I said before, good luck re-inventing yourself.
:flipoff:

Additionally, I know exactly what your 'protein' diet consists of.
