pulling a pop up

Yup. If you have an auto trans, make sure you have a tranny cooler. Also make sure your cooling system is working properly.

How much lift do you have and what gears are you running?

I run a 16" lift with 52s and I have no problems with mine. I have stock gears as well.

MA?

I don't doubt that.

:D

I pull my popup behind my XJ.
But, the XJ is also on a trailer behind my tow rig.
Triple tow, baby, yeah!

Currentlys omewhere around 4", 4.88s on 33's

Also did it w/ 2" lift and 235r15 and 31's/ 3" lift with 3.55 gears.

Pulled a pop-up 3hrs to Winterfest and back.
30's, 4.10's, and 3" 4.0L
Tranny cooler.
Had massive winds to deal with on the trip up.
Pulled like a champ.

I tow a pop-up with my XJ. Jeep has 4.5" lift/32s/4.56s and the camper tips in at about 1500lbs when loaded for the weekend. I did a spring-over on the camper so that it can handle rough logging roads a little better.

This is the same set up as mine. When you did the SOA on the camper were you able to put a larger tire on, and how ruff a road do you think you can make is it just dirt roads or old logging trails

I tow everything with my XJ, I've towed an S10 Blazer, a Jeep J10 twice each trip all interstate driving and 200+ miles, I've also towed horses and a travel trailer down to the Carolinas and back as well as countless other trailers.

I have a 90 XJ w/3" of lift in the rear to compensate trailer sag, electronic brake controller, 4.0, AX-15 and 4.10 gears. It's a great tow-rig for what it is.

I tow one. '78 Coleman. Has to weigh 500lbs max. I can easily pick it up and push it around to where need be. They are WAY better than just tents for camping more than one night. Stock 3.07 gears, AX15, 29" tires, 2" BB.

On flat freeway, 5th is no problem, slight incline is 4th, hill is 3rd. Can barley tell it is back there.

I want to borrow one or NACfest
That's why I bought it, well for trips to PAP. This way I can just hook up and go and still have room for spares and other wheeling stuff.
They have some out now that have 14" tires and are made for the trail, even some that are made for wheeling rough trail's, I'm looking to see if I can lift mine or mabye widen the axle to put taller tires on it so I can get out off the main trail. Like everything I own I think I can make it better then the guys who build them for a living, I'll never learn.
