post 1991 np242 input gear

As it says, I'm looking to swap my 1987 np 242 tc into my 1993, I need the input from a 1991 and newer np 242. This is the part that connects the transmission to the tc. Thanks.

for the record, a long 23 spline input gear from a 231 will work too - the input gears are interchangeable between 231 and 242, although each gear is specific to an application (i.e. 23 spline long = post 91 auto, 23 spline short = manual (AX-15), 21 spline = pre-91 auto...) HTH
