I just finished installing a Posi-Lok on my 88 XJ. Install went as planned, no big problems. I capped the green vacuum line at the firewall, and removed the metal (rusted -out) lines. What is the best bet on the plastic lines? Cap them off at the firewall, or can they be disconected permanently from the transfer case? I dont plan on using the vacuum system again. Thanks!

Removing them from the transfer case will not cause any problems?? Or should I cap off the ports after removing them?

The memory is vague, but as I recall there is a T in a vacuum line from the manifold to the vacuum bottle under the pressure bottle which feeds into the red line of the vacuum harness to the vacuum switch on the transfer case. This line needs to be capped. Just spend some time tracing the lines under there, and it'll be obvious.
