Hey all.
I dont post much around here anymore...in fact Im "jeep-less" for the first time in a LONG time. But I figured I would pop this in here for the heck of it.
I just bought a truck and it had this head unit installed. I can not stand aftermarket touch screen double din headunits haha. I have a tablet that I had installed in my last car that I am transferring into this one.
So I removed everything associated with this. And there is a LOT of stuff that goes with it!
First, the bad. The unit functions perfectly. Sounds awesome. Nav works great etc etc. The ONLY thing I could find that wouldn't work is it doesn't seem to open all the way to eject/insert a CD. The screen motor works, because you can tilt the screen via the touch screen. But in the following pic, you can see OPEN is greyed out. I updated the firmware and that didn't fix it. You can actually insert the SD card if you just manually tilt the screen all the way up. I don't listen to CD's, so USB/Aux input were plenty for me. It wasn't worth sending off for repairs. It also could have been the install??? There is all sorts of bypass/wiring tricks with these things. I don't know.
Otherwise it works great. I am including everything that was installed with it. It has reverse cam support, but no cam is included. In the pictures you'll see a Ford wiring kit. I will leave that on and let the new owner clip the wires where they need it. The Aux inputs were glued into the factory Ford bezel...I was able to remove the 1/8" jack, but the USB jack is still in. You can get it out, but I didn't want to risk messing it up. Comes with the XM box. I don't have XM, so I wasn't able to test, but I saw it come up in the list of sources.
Here are the pics. Everything you see related to the radio comes with it!
Asking $300 OR BEST OFFER!! If you are close and want to pick it up, its in Norristown, PA 19401...can deliver to the West Chester, PA area during the week. I can ship it, and will likely ask to split shipping charges if you want it shipped.
Let me know if you're interested!
