Hmmm... No avatars, either?

PM me your external IP address, I'll take a quick look through the logs to see if a request is even coming in for the images.

avatars work.
everything that's hotlinked works

the only trouble I have is when people (Dan) post things in their NAXJA album and then post it in a thread.

I don't see them, I don't even see a red X where the image should be. It's just like it doesn't exist in the post.

My work machine is win7, I use Opera. It's happened in all the versions I've tried.
Home machine is Ubuntu based and I've used Chrome and Opera with the same results. Next time it happens I'll pop into IE and see if it works there. I'm sure it's seomthing browser related. I've not got any adblocking software installed on this machine.

Re: Important

Hrrrrm. Goofy. Come to think of it, all of the button images are locally hosted, practically all of the board control elements are graphic.

Assuming your post is from your home system, after filtering out requests for board control elements, avatars & the like, I see only 1 request that looks like a redirect to tinypic. I think you're right, the request isn't getting to this server. Have you ran Wireshark to snoop the traffic?

Re: Important

Just like 'manche, I don't see any image requests in the logs from your last post's IP address. Hit one of the photo albums, and post up again, I'll check the logs.

Same here. I use Chrome.

Re: Important

I went to Dans album and checked it, I can see the images fine.
This is the one I looked at:
picture.php

Re: Important

Okay...... the album pics aren't delivered with the usual graphic extensions, but are identifiable.

*89Laredo*, I do see 70 pictureid requests from your PM'ed IP address since 2012/09/04 14:24.

I wonder if your browser is not displaying the graphic images due to the way that vBulletin is sending back the data?

FWIW, I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, Firefox 15. Photoalbums display just fine. Desktop downstairs is XP/Firefox 15, I'll check that in a bit. Work laptop runs Win7 w/ Seamonkey (latest version,) over a secure forwarded SSH connection, also will check that.

Re: Important

Forgot to mention that in the PM. Im on win 7 with firefox, my moms computer is vista and firefox.

My phone is android with Tapatalk, and the images show up fine.

I ran wireshark but dont know WTF Im looking at.

I went to the URL listed in your post, Dan's pic posted fine on my browser.

Here's what I pulled from the logs just now, looking for Dan's shot of a bottle of Stella and a few poker chips:

Yes, I've removed your IP address on purpose.

Re: Important

Wireshark, if you can read the trace, would tell you if the graphics are making it back to your browser, and not getting filtered out by your router.

I can post a screenshot, Dont know if I even did it right. Just a minute.

Re: Important

Weird...
So something to do with the way Firefox is handling it?
That's my suspicion. I do see the requests coming in to the server, and nothing at all in the error log.

Just for grins, in Firefox preferences, under Content, is Load Images Automatically checked? What's under the Advanced button?

Due to the LARGE number of packets exchanged, a screen shot probably won't do much.

Its Checked, No exceptions.

Wireshark attached, tell me if I need to run it again.

Edit: nevermind, Ill link it.

that post is from my work machine. It's static IP, so you can always reference that IP address.

Just like 'manche, I don't see any image requests in the logs from your last post's IP address. Hit one of the photo albums, and post up again, I'll check the logs.
Will do in about 5 minutes.

I went to Dans album and checked it, I can see the images fine.
This is the one I looked at:

This is what his post looked like last night:

It always works when I goto the photo album under a username. See them just fine. It's got to be something in how VB is embedding them. I've not wiresharked it or anything, and hadn't brought it up because it's just not that big of a deal for me.

Just hit up forewheelers album. I can see all of the pictures in there, and now that I've brought it up, I can see the picture he posted in this thread.

Re: Important

There is a problem with vBulletin & cookies, I wonder if it's related to this. Are you accessing through http://www.naxja.org, or a different host URL? I see *89Laredo* is hitting http://naxja.org., but the images do load for me through that, but I can't see from your end how they're actually coming back in.

Re: Important

I've used both recently. I'm on .org right now.

Can't say if they worked on .net or not. Not paying too much attention.
