Photo Printer and Digi Camera for Non-Techno-Savvy In-laws??

So, the wife and I, along with her brother and sister in law, or going to buy my MIL/FIL a new Digital camera and photo printer.

I need suggestions on an easy to use camera that prints well on a 4x6. I'm thinking in the 5.0 megapixel range should work. The more easier to use, and the less gadgetry there is, the better.

I'd also like to know a decent printer, with refill cartridges available at Staples and those sorts of palces, that has multiple card slots, and can print 4x6, or 5x7. If it doesnt print 5x7, it isnt a deal killer.

I've looked around at the various websites, but would appreciate your opinions, and any helpful links to the good deals would be awesome.

Thanks all.

How about of the KODAK bundles. You take the picture then put the camera ontop of the little printer and it prints the picture. Couldn't be simpler

I bought my Kodak due to the reviews I read on user friendliness.
It is easy to use, and it takes good pictures.

I got my mother a Kodak. If she can use it, ....well, anyone can. I love you Mom! :D

Chalk up another vote for Kodak.

Kodak makes a good camera, the interfaces are simple and easy to use.
the PC side software sucks.
the printers are a crazy ripoff to run though. The paper and ink for them are both stupid expensive.
Buy them this:

it will have an SD slot for the kodak's memory card.

they'll also get a nice standalone copy machine out of it. Epson inks are cheap, and the hardware is above average for the $100 MFC range.
It will also allow them to do basic photoediting such as resize and crop, all from the printer's interface.

I'll X5 or X6 or whatever its up to the Kodak as well. Bought a simple 7 MP on Black Friday last year for about $120 and have zero complaints. Takes awesome pictures, is real easy on the batteries (the old HP I shared with my mom chews through batteries like theres no tomorrow). I even let my dad borrow it when he went to ride his dirt bike in Mexico for a week over the summer, and if he can use it, ANYBODY can use it.

Can't say anything for their little printers, but I've heard a lot of good about them.

well, the little printers are nice, but the consumables will kill you.
Expect a print to cost 50 cents.
Doesn't sound like a lot, until you come back from vacation with 100 digital photos you want to make copies of for your friends.
