Ooops, I broke the Jeep. But still had fun.

Went Jeeping today with a couple of my commercial customers. Weather was cool, but that was a good thing, as my e-fan was disconnected due to late night power steering hose repairs yesterday. Jeep did not overheat.

1st play area off the Puerco, one customer had to call it quits when his new Renix cooland bottle exploded. That sucked, he is a good guy and fun to wheel with.

The rest of the day was fun, no issues.... sand, rocks, big rocks.. the BOOM, SNAP! My rear drive shaft fell to the sand. The dana 44 u-bolt straps all snapped clean off. No worries, I would rather that be the "fuse" than my D30. :) Was a bit of a PIA getting out of there with only front wheel drive, and no front locker. Made it only taking the strap up a pretty steep climb.

Here is a couple short clips from today:

Thanks, it was. Jeep is all back together now. Took it to a local shop. They drilled out the 4 bolts, installed new U-joint, strap kit, and even replaced the pinion seal that has been leaking for the last 2 years. :-) Nice to have friends with a shop. :-)
