One Wicked Jeep!

Damn!! This will end up being the end all to the XJ Speeders... a ton of work that he is putting into this thing!! Awesome work!!

I was just reading about TTB's in the 4 wheelers Bible. There is a part where he is rating different stock 4X4's and he is talking about bronco's. I think says that TTB's are crap and he ads "and frankly kind of gay" hahahaha

hmm same sort of suspension on my 70 ford f-100 2wd. They just using that setup now?

Well, it is an upgrade from the stock XJ/MJ solid axle setup.

So, pardon my ignorance... but what is the advantage? More travel with less control arm related bind / ride quality stuff? handling?
And how are coil overs better than coil + shock?

It's all about the packaging...coilovers are generally smaller in diameter than regular coil springs, and your shock is inside the spring. If you use a bypass shock, there is more usable room with a coilover as well. As far as more travel goes, the limiting factors with the stock XJ set up are steering linkages, front drive shaft bind, and the shock/spring packaging.(try finding springs that will allow your tires to stuff nicely without coming unseated at full droop, and give more than 10 inches of travel.) The TTB's pivot near the center of the truck so you get less change in driveshaft angle, a ratio better than 1:1 on the shocks (more travel) and less binding on the steering linkages with a well thought out swing set steering set up.

That's just a couple of advantages I can think of off the top of my head.
