I know, i know... there are a million threads on this AND i have an FSM...
1993 XJ, 4.0HO, 120Kmiles, AW4. I believe the NP231 TC (my buildsheet says command trac, is that right??)
At any rate, i have searched and searched. used Go-Jeeps write up and every other one i could find, HOWEVER, i cannot find the proper hex key size for the oil filter adapter on my 93. I got a T60 torx and it obviously didn't work... i tried all the standard hex keys i had (1/4 was close...) but to no avail. I have a FEELING it is 5/8, but of course i nor anyone i know have that key handy. I'm looking for some validation before i spend money on it
Ever since i replaced my valve cover gasket my OFA is leaking more noticeably and i want to get it taken care of to see if my RMS is contributing or not (and then put that on my to do list as well
)
Strange note, my FSM has the filter in the upright position for my 93 4.0 however, my filter is actually in the horizontal position of the later HO's (mine was built Nov, 1992) so maybe that is why?
